Three charged following PSO assault - CBD

Detectives from Transit Crime Investigation Unit have charged three people after three Protective Services Officers (PSO) were allegedly assaulted in Melbourne’s CBD this morning, Victoria Police say.

The incident occurred outside Flinders Street Station just after 1.30am.

A 19-year-old Blackburn man, 20-year-old Mooroolbark man and 18-year-old Blackburn woman have all been charged with assault PSO and resist PSO.

The trio has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on 22 January, 2018.

Two of the male PSOs were taken to hospital with injuries, one with a leg injury and one with a bite injury, while the third PSO was treated at the scene for facial injuries.
