Three people have been charged over an alleged domestic violence incident in the state's west.
About 9.13pm last night (Sunday 20 April 2025) police were called to a shop on Talbragar Street, Dubbo, following reports of an assault.
Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended the scene and spoke to a 45-year-old woman, who allegedly denied any knowledge of an assault.
Police left the location and continued to make inquiries.
About 10.45pm, police were called to the same location, following reports a woman was being assaulted and held against her will.
Officers gained entry to a residence behind the shop, where they located an injured 21-year-old woman.
Police arrested a 52-year-old man, a 45-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy – all known to the woman – at the scene before they were taken to Dubbo Police Station.
The man and the woman were charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm (DV), and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV).
They were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Monday 21 April 2025).
The 17-year-old boy was charged with common assault.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Monday 21 April 2025).
Police will allege in court the trio assaulted the 21-year-old woman in separate incidents.
