Three injured in crash near Orange, NSW

Three people have been hospitalised after a crash in the state’s Central West, NSW Police say.

The crash happened when a westbound utility and an eastbound sedan collided on the Mitchel Highway at Lucknow, 10km south east of Orange, near the intersection of Phoenix Mine road, about 6pm (Thursday 22 February 2018).

A man and woman travelling in the sedan sustained serious injuries, with the man being described as being in a critical condition. They were taken to Orange Base Hospital, before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital.

The male driver of the ute was taken to Orange Base Hospital suffering chest pain.

Officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit will commence an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
