Three major development projects can move forward in Témiscamingue RCM

The Government of Canada is providing more than $1.3 million in funding to LVL Global Inc., Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Barbe Broue Pub

May 23, 2019 - Ville-Marie, Quebec - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

LVL Global Inc., Barbe Broue Pub and the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) will be able to carry out their projects with a total of $1,337,000 in funding from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.

With a repayable contribution of $1 million, LVL Global will be able to grow by optimizing its production capacity by acquiring automated equipment. Barbe Broue Pub will benefit from a non-repayable contribution of $100,000 to acquire new brewing and computer equipment and enhance its marketing and production activities. With a non-repayable contribution of $237,500, UQAT, through its Agriculture Research Station, will conduct applied research projects in deriving value from agri-food processing by-products in order to improve the competitiveness and environmental performance of enterprises in this sector.

Stéphane Lauzon, Member of Parliament for Argenteuil-La Petite-Nation and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence announced the funding today. The funds from the Government of Canada will generate total investments of nearly $5 million and create five jobs in the region.

  • The contribution to Barbe Broue Pub comes from the Women Entrepreneurship Fund of the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES).
