Three Steps to Success Sustainability Framework launched

Children at Council's Education and Care Services facilities will learn about sustainability practices and how they can reduce wastage as part of the new Three Steps to Success Sustainability Framework launched today.

The Three Steps to Success Sustainability Framework provides educators at Council's facilities with the tools needed to introduce children to sustainability concepts such as water quality and conservation, biodiversity, waste, sustainable food and smarter shopping and many more.

The framework also includes a number of practical and fun activities for kids to do that will educate them on sustainability and the environment such as experiments, plantings and building activities.

"It is important that children are introduced to sustainability through their early education so that they can be responsible custodians of our environment when they grow up," Mayor George Brticevic said.

"Our Education and Care Services staff will use this framework to further enhance teaching about sustainable practises and activities in our facilities in an engaging and fun way that will resonate with young children," Cr Brticevic said.

"This framework also uses the wonderful and diverse natural environment that we have here in Campbelltown to help local kids understand the importance these practises have on our natural world," he said.
