Tokyo Institute of Technology Environmental Report 2021

The Japanese version of Tokyo Institute of Technology Environmental Report 2021 has been released and is now available online.

The report summarizes Tokyo Tech’s efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its education and research activities in FY2020, particularly from the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals. It covers topics such as environmental management, environmental performance, environmental education at the Institute, and introduces current examples of environmental research being conducted by Tokyo Tech researchers. It also highlights some of the FY2020 activities of student volunteer group Tokyo VG.

Like businesses, Tokyo Tech and other national university corporations are required to compile and publish environmental reports annually in accordance with the Law Concerning the Promotion of Business Activities with Environmental Consideration by Specified Corporations of 2004. The Institute has been publishing its Japanese version of the report since FY2005 and an English digest since FY2019. The 2021 English digest will be released in the near future.
