Victoria's best performing VCE students have been recognised with Premier's VCE Awards, which were announced online today.
Minister for Education James Merlino congratulated the high-achieving students, celebrating their outstanding efforts.
Winners included an award-winning young filmmaker, a singer who has already enjoyed international success, and an aspiring scientist who has competed in a chemistry olympiad.
A total of 307 awards were announced, including 276 Study Awards, 28 Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Awards and three Top International Student Awards.
The Top All-Round VCE High Achiever awards recognise those students who achieved study scores of 46 or higher out of 50 in at least five VCE subjects, while Study Awards recognise the best performers in individual VCE subjects.
The Andrews Labor Government is delivering on its promise to build the Education State so every student in the state can get a great education.
Under the Labor Government's school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child can access a great local school where they can achieve their best. The Labor Government has invested $6.1 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades and supporting more than 7,500 construction jobs for Victorians.
