Some of Australia's best paralympians will be competing in the Top End this July as part of the National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL) Finals. This is the first time the event will take place in the Territory after being cancelled in 2021 due to COVID-19,

The spotlight will be on our very own Territory team the Darwin Salties, with local talent like Clarence McCarthy-Grogan & Tom O'Neill Thorne co-captaining the team in its very first NWBL Season.

Scheduled to take place from 15-17 July at Darwin Basketball Stadium, the event will feature both women's and men's teams vying for the 2022 Wheelchair Leagues National Championship.

The competition includes top teams from Sydney, Wollongong, Brisbane and Perth, with many players and supporters travelling to the Top End for the much-anticipated event.

The National Wheelchair Basketball Finals are supported by the Northern Territory Government through the Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC).
