The Australian Government is supporting the return of live music across the nation with 102 venues to share in $2.5 million in grants through the latest round of the Live Music Australia program.

Grants ranging from $3,000 to $77,500 will support a variety of activities including the delivery of original live music programs, upgrades to venues and equipment and support for restarting performances post COVID-19 restrictions.

The program is designed to bring more original live Australian music to communities by funding small-to-medium venues across the country - from pubs in the remote outback to clubs and theatres in major cities.

It will provide $5 million annually until 2023-24, with the next round expected to open mid-2022.

More than $10 million has been committed under the first 4 rounds of the program to support over 400 venues throughout Australian communities.
