Total Fire Ban Across Greater Shepparton

A Total Fire Ban has been declared for Friday 9 January 2026 for the North Central district, which includes Greater Shepparton. No fires can be lit or allowed to remain alight in the open air.

A Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating has also been declared for the district. This signals the worst possible grass and bushfire conditions.
