Tour of works at Ryans Reserve

The pavilion is the first example of a modular building method used at a sports facility in Yarra and provides local clubs and community with much-needed facilities.

Acting Mayor Cr Edward Crossland and Melba Ward Councillor Cr Landes welcomed the Minister for Community Sport, the Hon. Ross Spence MP, and Member for Richmond, the Hon. Richard Wynne MP, for a project update and tour of the soon-to-be-completed works at Ryan's Reserve.

The Victorian Government have contributed $3 million to upgrade and improve Ryan's Reserve with the reconstruction of the existing four netball courts and installation of a new, modern fit-for-purpose pavilion.

Council also contributed an additional $50,000 towards the purchase and installation of community infrastructure at the site.

The upgrades include:

• new change facilities

• social space, kitchen and first aid facilities

• accessible toilets and external public access toilet

• access ramps and public foyer

• additional bike racks
