Traffic crash appeal at Bald Hills

Police investigating a traffic crash between two trucks at Bald Hills earlier this week are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dash-cam vision to come forward.

Initial information indicates around 2.00pm on Wednesday August 24 after crossing the Pine Rivers Bridge, a small flat-bed plumbing truck was travelling south towards the Gateway Motorway.

It appeared to cross from the Gateway Motorway Exit back towards the Gympie Arterial Road and has collided with a large white and red semi-trailer also headed toward the Gympie Arterial Road.

The collision saw the door of the smaller truck ripped from its hinges and closed the road for a short time.

Both drivers were assessed and suffered minor injuries only.

Investigations continue.
