Traffic incidents at Landsborough

Beerwah police are investigating a single vehicle traffic crash and subsequent theft of a vehicle at Landsborough this morning.

Initial investigations indicate a white Jaguar reported stolen from Worongary lost control on Steve Irwin Way just after 9am, before colliding with a tree.

Several members of the public, including a man in his 60s, stopped to assist the male driver from the vehicle.

The driver has then proceeded to get into the man's maroon Mazda CX-5 and take off northbound on Steve Irwin Way.

The driver is described as male and aged between 18 and 30.

Police investigations into the incident remain ongoing.

Anyone with information, relevant CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time depicting the incident or a white Jaguar and maroon Mazda CX-5 is urged to contact police.
