Tribunal Makes Orders-Oil Country Tubular Goods from Nine Countries

From: Canadian International Trade Tribunal

The Tribunal also rescinded its finding with respect to the subject goods from the Republic of the Philippines following the determination of the President of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that the expiry of the finding was unlikely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping.

The CBSA will therefore continue to impose anti‑dumping duties on subject goods except for the ones from the Republic of the Philippines.

The Tribunal is an independent quasi-judicial body that reports to Parliament through the Minister of Finance. It hears cases on dumped and subsidized imports, safeguard complaints, complaints about federal government procurement and appeals of customs and excise tax rulings. When requested by the federal government, the Tribunal also provides advice on other economic, trade and tariff matters.
