Trio remanded after Point Cook home invasion

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged three men following an aggravated home invasion in Point Cook this morning.

Police were called to a Bayrise Road address following reports three people forced entry to the home about 10.15am.

It's alleged the trio assaulted two occupants inside before stealing car keys and cash.

The trio took off in a white Mercedes before allegedly dumping the car at a Point Cook shopping centre.

They were arrested nearby a short time later.

A 28-year-old Point Cook man has been charged with ten offences including aggravated home invasion, threat to inflict serious injury, threat to damage property, recklessly cause injury, possess imitation firearm-Prohibition order and reckless conduct endangering serious injury.

A 34-year-old Tarneit man was charged with aggravated home invasion, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault, theft and possess drug of dependence

A 41-year-old Altona Meadows man was charged with aggravated home invasion, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault and theft

All have been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 25 August.

Police believe all parties involved in the incident are known to each other.
