TSU has risen strengthened its position in rankings

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings of the British publication Times Higher Education (THE) have been released. THE is one of the most influential annual world university rankings. Tomsk State University has strengthened its position in two key areas: Teaching and Research. For these indicators, TSU is in the top 200 and top 300 strongest universities in the world.

The ranking analyzes the activities of 1,527 universities worldwide (last year, 1,396 were presented). This year, TSU again entered the 501-600 group and strengthened its positions in the quality of teaching and the volume and authority of scientific activity by more than 20 points. Other ranking indicators remained in the same range: citations; international outlook; and industry income.

Earlier, TSU became the leader among Russian universities in the ranking of the most international universities in the world according to Times Higher Education. The experts evaluated the number of international university staff and international students, the number of scientific publications co-authored with international scholars, and the university's international reputation.

TSU also improved its positions in the Times Higher Education subject ranking in Physical Sciences, placing in the 176-200 group. Tomsk State University ranks 5th among Russian universities in the THE Physical Sciences ranking, which includes subject areas such as mathematics, statistics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, geology, and the environment.
