The TSU mass open online course (MOOC) "Career planning: resume/CV, cover letter, interview" was among the twenty most popular MOOCs in July according to the portal Class Central. The course was created by the Center for the Development and Support of Online Courses (TSU Institute of Distance Education) and launched in June this year on the Coursera platform. The author of the course is Petr Mitchell, Head of the Department of Translation and Language Communications at the TSU Faculty of Foreign Languages, a full member of the Institute of Linguists (UK), practicing translator, and consultant on intercultural communication.
The Class Central international portal brings together all the major educational platforms on which MOOCs are published. In the top 20 courses of July, Russia is represented by two MOOCs - TSU and St. Petersburg State University (Japanese for Beginners).
Petr Mitchell's career planning course will be of interest to anyone who plans to find work in an English-speaking country or in an international company that uses English for communication. Students will learn how to choose the perfect job; create a resume focused on a dream job; write the cover letter correctly, and prepare for a successful interview.

On the Coursera platform, Petr Mitchell's online course gets top marks. Its average mark is 4.9 out of 5 possible. In an incomplete month since the launch, almost 2,500 people signed up for the course. The main audience is young students from 18 to 35 years old.
