Two people were arrested after a disturbance at a fast-food restaurant in the city overnight.
Police were called to the fast-food outlet on Pulteney Street, Adelaide at 4.20am on Wednesday 15 July by reports of a theft and assault of an employee.
It will be alleged a man jumped the counter and assaulted a young worker. He then helped himself to food items before leaving with a woman.
Police then tracked down the suspects walking through Rundle Mall.
A 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested.
The man was charged with assault and theft and was refused police bail. He will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
The woman was charged with disorderly behaviour and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
The 18-year-old victim sustained minor injuries and was shaken by the incident, but he did not require medical treatment.
