Two charged after teen stabbed – Merrylands , NSW Police say

A teenager will face court today charged over the alleged attempted murder of another teen at Merrylands last month.
Emergency services were called to Sheffield Street just after 12.30pm on Sunday 25 November 2018, following reports a 16-year-old boy had been assaulted.
It’s alleged the boy met up with three teens and during an altercation he was assaulted, before being stabbed in the torso. The three teens fled.
The boy was taken to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery.
Following inquiries, detectives from Cumberland Police Area Command arrested a 16-year-old boy at a Cabramatta West home on Monday 26 November 2018.
He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s) and is due to appear at a children’s court on Monday 17 December 2018.
Following further inquiries, a 16-year-old girl attended Granville Police Station yesterday (Friday 14 December 2018), where she was arrested.
She has been charged with attempted murder, armed with intent commit indictable offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The teen was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Saturday 15 December 2018).
