Two forums next week to keep community informed

Orange City Council's strategy of keeping the community informed about key decisions and projects takes another step forward when two information events will be held in the same week.

On Monday evening an information forum will be held to provide details and answer questions about plans for the new stormwater wetland.

On Wednesday evening an information forum will be held to provide details and answer questions about the new draft annual budget.

Orange Mayor Reg Kidd said the information sessions were a chance for members of the community to ask questions and meet the experts on a range of different topics.

"Since Cr Tony Mileto put this idea forward to Council, there's been a number of opportunities heId in recent months," Cr Kidd said.

"These information sessions have been received well and I encourage anyone who would like to know more about specific topics to attend.

"Attendance at the forum on Wednesday regarding the 2021/2022 budget would be a good idea for anyone who is thinking of standing for election in September."
