Two injured in bus crash in Moama

Police are investigating after two pedestrians were injured in a crash on the state’s south overnight, NSW Police say.

About 7.30pm (Sunday 30 September 2018), emergency services were called to Shaw Street, Moama, following reports a man and woman had been struck by a bus.

The 72-year-old man and 67-year-old woman were airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital; both in a serious condition.

The driver of the bus, a 61-year-old man, was taken to Deniliquin Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Murray River Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage is urged to come forward.
