Quotes attributable to Assistant Commissioner Bob Hill, Crime Command:

"Some individuals and criminal groups think they can operate about the law - time and time again they are proven wrong. They may be able to avoid law enforcement for a period but it is only a matter of time before they face their day of judgement.

"We will continue to create a hostile environment for these serious and organised crime groups.

"Victoria Police will work tirelessly with our partners and the community to destroy their networks and hold them to account for their criminality."

"Today's arrests are as a direct result of an incredible amount of work over the past few years by investigators from Crime Command, particularly the Homicide Squad.

"They have also been supported in this investigation by a range of specialist units.

"When the news headlines fade and the incident slips from community consciousness, our investigators continue to work undeterred on behalf of the families of victims such as this.

"Victoria Police's number one priority is to keep the community safe and to do this, we will ensure every offender involved in a serious or violent crime is held to account.

"It doesn't matter how much time passes, I can assure both offenders and the community, that we will be relentless in this pursuit and these arrests are a strong testament of that commitment."
