Two More Arrested in Large-Scale Theft Probe

A further two people will face court following an investigation into the large-scale theft from properties throughout NSW.

In October 2023, officers attached to the Rural Crime Prevention Team (RCPT) and Central West Police District established Strike Force Subdivision, to investigate the large-scale theft of heavy machinery, plants, prime movers, and other equipment across the state.

Two men and two women have been charged and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, about 1.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 28 February2024), investigators attended a home in Craft Crescent, Condobolin, and arrested a man and woman, who were taken to Parkes Police Station.

A 30-year-old man was charged with:

  • enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence
  • enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse
  • take and drive conveyance without consent of owner
  • larceny value (x4)
  • drive motor vehicle during disqualification period (x2), and
  • destroy or damage property (x2).

A 30-year-old woman was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal. Two outstanding warrants were also executed for assault and domestic violence-related offences.

Both were refused bail to appear at Orange Local Court today (Thursday 29 February 2024).
