Two more charged for Wodonga commercial burglaries

Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a further two men following a series of commercial burglaries in Wodonga and Beechworth over the past two weeks.

It's alleged at least eight businesses were targeted with cash and registers usually stolen.

A 25-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both of Wodonga, were charged with burglary, theft, attempted burglary.

They have both been bailed to appear at the Wodonga Magistrates' Court on 7 February, 2023.

Police had previously arrested two men in Camp Street, Beechworth about 2.30am on Sunday morning, 4 September.

A 41-year-old man from Lavington in New South Wales and a 35-year-old man from Wodonga have been charged with burglary, attempted burglary, theft, criminal damage and going equipped to steal.

They have been bailed to appear at Wodonga Magistrates' Court on 7 February 2023.
