Two pedestrians struck by car in St Kilda

Prahran Highway Patrol officers are investigating after pedestrians were struck by a car in St Kilda tonight.

Police responded to reports two males had been struck by a vehicle on The Esplanade just after 8pm.

The driver of the BMW stopped at the scene and was arrested.

The two pedestrians were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a man aged in his 30s, has been interviewed and released and will be charged on summons with various traffic offences.
