Two people die in light plane crash - Central West

Two people have died following a light plane crash in the state's Central West today.

About 7.45pm (Wednesday 4 November 2020), emergency services were called to a property in Carcoar, after reports a light plane had crashed after leaving Orange Reginal Airport this afternoon.

The two people on board, believed to be a man and a woman, died at the scene.

Formal identification is yet to be confirmed.

Officers from Chifley Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau have been notified.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
