Two teenagers charged over attempted carjacking at Liverpool

Two teenagers have been charged after an alleged attempted carjacking at Liverpool yesterday.

About 11pm (Sunday 16 February 2020), a 31-year-old women was stopped in her car at a set of lights on Elizabeth Street, when two teenagers approached and opened her car doors.

One of the teens allegedly produced a replica pistol and demanded the women get out of her vehicle. The women drove off and contacted police.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and arrested two teenagers, both aged 15, nearby.

They were taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with armed robbery.

Both were refused bail and are due to face a children's court today (Monday 17 February 2020).
