Two UNE alums receive Hospital Medicine Excellence Award

Two graduates of UNE recently received Hospital Medicine Excellence Awards given out by Maine Health, the state's largest integrated health care system.

The awards are given to physicians or advanced practice professionals in the Division of Hospital Medicine who have consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence over the previous year.

Ross Isacke, D.O., graduated from the College of Osteopathic medicine in 2012. He serves as assistant associate medical director for hospital medicine at Maine Medical Partners and chief of inpatient medicine at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, Maine.

Isacke was recognized for his efforts in Stephens Memorial Hospital's COVID-19 response by demonstrating engaged, proactive, and innovative standards of excellence in rising to the challenge of COVID-19.

Meredith Beauregard, PA-C, graduated from UNE in 2005. She is a physician assistant at Maine Medical Center (MMC) in Portland.

Beauregard was recognized for helping to build a labor pool for MMC's Advanced Practice Providers (APP) service by proactively reaching out and collaborating with other APP services at MMC. Her contributions provided a critical lifeline to those services.
