UN Rights Expert Heads to Cambodia

GENEVA - The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia, Tom Andrews, will conduct an official visit to Cambodia from 20 to 31 July 2026.

During the visit, Andrews will assess the state of human rights in Cambodia, including in relation to human trafficking, border conflict, freedoms of expression, association and assembly, and the rights of groups in vulnerable situations.

The Special Rapporteur will meet with Government officials, local authorities, civil society representatives, victims, survivors, among others. He will visit Phnom Pen, Banteay Meanchey and Siem Reap Provinces.
