A University of the Sunshine Coast-led initiative is helping enable trade, investment and networking between Australia and Cambodia, one of East Asia's fastest growing economies.

Delegates from Cambodia attend a study mission led by UniSC's UniSC's Centre for International Development, Social Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CIDSEL)

UniSC's Centre for International Development, Social Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CIDSEL) was engaged to assist Royal Government of Cambodia officials and agri-business leaders to connect with key Australian investors, buyers, wholesalers, government agencies and business associations.

CIDSEL general manager Tami Harriott said a recent two-week study mission involved a series of official visits by delegates to national trade sites, investor networking roundtables, panel discussions and meetings with chambers of commerce and industry and other key stakeholders in Canberra, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

"These different initiatives served as a fundamental engagement and collaboration opportunity, connecting individuals and nations to positively impact in the economy heavily hit by COVID-19," Ms Harriott said.
