UniSport Nationals Head to Perth in 2026, 2030

  • Perth to host the 2026 and 2030 UniSport Nationals multi-sport games
  • Thousands of university athletes will travel to WA to participate
  • Supported by the Cook Government through Tourism WA

Perth is set to host the 2026 and 2030 UniSport Nationals, bringing thousands of university athletes to Western Australia to participate in the multi-sport games.

The event, which has been secured as part of a two-event-deal by the Cook Government through Tourism WA, gathers students from universities across Australia to compete in 32 different sports.

UniSport Nationals is Australia's oldest and largest multi-sport event and was last held in Perth in 2022, when it brought almost 5000 out-of-State visitors to WA, generating more than $10 million for the State's economy.

Arriving in September next year, the competition will be staged at a range of locations across Perth, including the Bendat Basketball Centre, Gold Netball Centre, Perth High Performance Centre, and Champion Lakes Regatta Centre.

Securing the UniSport Nationals for 2026 and 2030 aligns with the Cook Government's economic diversification strategy to attract greater out-of-State visitation to Western Australia with an always on, year-round calendar of major, regional and mass-participation events.
