Unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Inala to Toowong

Four children have been charged after a stolen vehicle was allegedly driven at speed through Brisbane's south yesterday.

PolAir observed the white Landrover Discovery which had allegedly been stolen from Auchenflower on June 8 travelling through Inala before heading onto the Logan Motorway at Larapinta around 2.30pm.

The vehicle was tracked as it continued to allegedly be driven dangerously throughout local streets and suburbs, travelling through red lights.

Just before 4pm the stolen car was observed by PolAir entering the Level 1 carpark of a shopping centre at Toowong.

Dog Squad units converged on the location and officers spotted four people allegedly running from the vehicle towards the train station.

A short foot pursuit commenced and the four were taken into custody without incident.

Two 14-year-old boys, a 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl have been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary and commit and indictable offence and receiving tainted property.

They are expected to face the Brisbane Children's Court on a later date.
