Unlawful Use Of Motor Vehicle At Logan

A teenager has been charged followed an alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle in Woodridge.

Police will allege around 11pm, 24 April, an unknown offender gained entry to a house on Jessica Boulevard, Minyama, stole keys to a blue Mustang and fled in the vehicle.

The vehicle was then sighted in Broadbeach Waters around midday and throughout the afternoon in the Gold Coast and Logan.

At 5.30pm PolAir, tracked the vehicle from the Gateway Motorway onto the Logan Motorway. At 7.05pm police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device in Underwood and the car was subsequently abandoned in a carpark off Kingston Road.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested a short time later at a Woodridge address, and charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Investigations are ongoing.
