UNSW shines with five-star rating

UNSW Sydney has scored top marks for five key performance indicators in the Good Universities Guide.

UNSW has been awarded a five-star rating for key performance indicators in the 2018/2019 Good Universities Guide.

For students getting a job, UNSW rated in the top group with more than three quarters (77.5%) of students finding full-time employment within four months of graduating.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Merlin Crossley says the five-star rating reflects just how highly sought after UNSW’s graduates are.

"This impressive result reflects UNSW’s focus on preparing students with the skills and industry connections required to secure jobs in their chosen field," Professor Crossley said.

UNSW also achieved five-star ratings for student-teacher ratio, staff qualification, student retention and student demand – making it one of the most highly sought after universities by high-achieving domestic students.

UNSW Law and Para-legal studies students are among those most satisfied with their overall educational experience, with UNSW Computing and Information Systems students receiving the highest median salary after graduating. Other study areas where UNSW graduates receive higher than median salaries include:

  • Education and training
  • Communications
  • Creative arts
  • Health services and support
  • Law
  • Para-legal studies
  • Mathematics
  • Sciences
