UPDATE #2: Charges - Domestic violence in Katherine

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 35-year-old man who has been actively avoiding police since the 9 December 2023.

The man was alleged to be involved in Domestic Violence incidents in Katherine.

Detectives from the Domestic and Family Violence Unit, Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit arrested him in Palmerston yesterday and he has since been charged with:

  • 1 x Deprivation of liberty
  • 2 x Aggravated assault
  • 1 x Make threats to Kill
  • 1 x Breach of bail

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Senior Sergeant Ian Young said "This arrest was the result of extensive efforts from multiple branches of the NT Police. Domestic and Family Violence has no place in our community and we are continuing to urge those impacted to reach out."
