Update 5: Fatal traffic crash, Thuringowa Central

Police have charged a man with 34 additional offences following ongoing investigations into property crime in the Townsville district.

The 18-year-old Garbutt man, who was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in relation to a fatal traffic crash in Thuringowa Central on February 5, will face additional charges.

The 34 charges include 12 counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, nine counts of burglary, three counts of stealing, three counts of arson (motor vehicle), two counts of attempting to enter a dwelling with intent, and one count each of enter a premises to commit an indictable offence, enter a premises with intent, driving without due car and attention, driving without a license and possessing drug utensils.

The Garbutt man will re-appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 29.

Investigations are continuing.
