Police and Maritime Safety Queensland are continuing investigations following a fatal marine incident at the Cairns Marlin Marina on Thursday September 22, Queensland Police say.
A 29-year-old tourist died after the jet-ski she was riding collided with a moored vessel at around 9.15am.
Investigators have requested that any witnesses to the incident, particularly anyone that may have photographs or video footage, to contact Police Forensic Investigators if they haven’t done so already.
Information can be passed on to the Forensic Crash Unit on 4030 7174. Information can also be passed on to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
