Update: Harristown Police Charge Individual with Grievous Bodily Harm

Detectives have charged two women after a man suffered severe burns in Anzac Avenue at Harristown on Wednesday night, September 13.

It will be alleged the two women were with another man when the victim was deliberately set alight around 9.50pm.

A 35-year-old Wilsonton woman and a 31-year-old Newtown woman have been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

They will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, September 15.

The 26-year-old Southbrook man was transported to Toowoomba Hospital before been airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Investigations are continuing to locate the man involved.
