Update Re Jewellery Store Burglary In Mt Lawley

Detectives from Mirrabooka's Rapid High Harm Offender Response team have charged two men in relation to an incident that occurred in Mount Lawley on Wednesday 28 January 2026.

About 4.10am, police responded to alarms activated at a jewellery store on Beaufort Street. It will be alleged the mean drove a Mitsubishi Triton utility into the front of the premises, causing extensive damage, before entering and stealing several jewellery items.

About 8.50am, police located the vehicle abandoned on Chapman Street in Perth.

Prior to the burglary incident, it will be alleged the vehicle a Mitsubishi Triton was stolen the day prior from a residence on Cador Court in Carine.

About 12.20am on 28 January 2026, one of the men also allegedly attended a shopping centre on Collier Road in Morley and stole registration plates from a parked vehicle.

A 41-year-old man from Carine has been charged with ten offences:

• 3 x Stealing

• 2 x No Authority to Drive - suspended

• 2 x Trespass

• 1 x Burglary and Commit on a Place

• 1 x Steal Motor Vehicle

• 1 x Criminal Damage or Destruction of Property

A 47-year-old man from Perth has been charged with four offences:

• 2 x Property Laundering - Engaged in Transaction

• 1 x Burglary and Commit on a Place

• 1 x Stealing

They are both due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday, 29 January 2026.
