Updated 2019 Parliament sitting schedule

Michael Ferguson,Leader of the House

Today, the Government has released the updated 2019 sitting schedule for the 49th Parliament.

Following the necessary delay and prorogation of Parliament until 19 March 2019, the sitting schedule has been updated to provide for the extra sitting week that had been scheduled for the House of Assembly for the week of 12 March.

The House of Assembly will now sit an extra week later in the year during the last week of September (24 to 26 September).

The remainder of the sitting schedule remains unchanged and is in keeping with previous years, with the House of Assembly sitting for 15 weeks and the Legislative Council for 14 weeks (not including estimates committees).
