The Emergency Management (Exposure Sites, Contacts and Diagnosis Requirements No 3) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Exposure Sites, Contacts and Diagnosis Requirements No 4) (COVID-19) Direction 2022. This Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on 13 January 2022.
Key changes include:
COVID-19 POSITIVE AND CLOSE CONTACT REQUIREMENTS
If you become aware you are COVID-19 positive, or a close contact of a COVID-19 case, you need to comply with the isolation, testing, reporting and other requirements as outlined on the SA Health website https://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/COVIDtesting .
SPECIFIED WORKPLACES OR INDUSTRIES
The Chief Public Health Officer has the authority to give specified workplaces or industries different requirements (can be accessed on the SA Health website). If your industry is mentioned and a nominated officer gives you their approval you have different requirements to the general public.
In that case, you must comply with approved protocol when attending your workplace or work function. When you’re not at work you have to comply with the usual isolation, testing and reporting requirements.
People in quarantine (except in a hospital or medi-hotel) are allowed to leave the premises to obtain a COVID-19 PCR or Rapid Antigen Test as specified on the SA Health website. You must travel directly to the relevant site and wear a mask at all times .
If a person quarantining in a hospital or medi-hotel is discharged by their treating medical practitioner and advised to continue the remainder of their quarantine elsewhere, then that person needs to comply with the isolation requirements as outlined on the SA Health website.
COVID-19 RAPID ANTIGEN TESTING PICK UP PLACE
People can only get a Rapid Antigen Test kit from a nominated collection point if they are a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case. They are only to collect the number of kits necessary for compliance with this direction and they can only use it for the specified purposes outlined on the SA Health website – www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/COVIDRapidAntigenTesting .

RECORDING OF RESULTS FROM RAPID ANTIGEN TEST
All results, whether positive, negative or invalid of a Rapid Antigen Test from a collection point must be record their result with SA Health using the form provided on the SA Health website.
A person who records a positive result from a privately obtained Rapid Antigen Test must also record their result with SA Health using the form provided on the SA Health website.
