Upgrades at Toronto Commercial Centre

Lake Macquarie City Council

Toronto Commercial Centre is undergoing work to improve mobility and accessibility features.

This includes replacing floor tiles, updating balustrading, and the existing accessible ramp.

Works are expected to be complete in late July 2023.

Throughout this period, there will be temporary changes to parking and pedestrian access arrangements around the centre.

Signage will be displayed onsite to notify of changed conditions, and the contractor will maintain access to the centre throughout the project.

Alternative wheelchair access will be available while works are underway.

The project will require demolition activities that will generate noise. These activities are expected to begin on Wednesday 15 March and will run until the end of April.

As well as noise, while demolition activities are underway, residents may experience low levels of vibration and dust. Contractors will do their best to limit impacts on nearby residents and businesses.

The community are thanked for their patience during this time.
