BUTLER, Pa. - Construction is underway on a new UPMC specialty care destination at Clearview Mall, bringing more advanced services closer to home for Butler County residents who already rely on UPMC for many of their health care needs.
Expected to open in early 2027, the new complex represents the next phase of UPMC's continued investment in Butler County. In addition to specialty physician services, plans include expanded diagnostic imaging and surgical offerings through strategic partnerships.
For years, UPMC has cared for Butler County residents through its facilities and services including UPMC Passavant-Cranberry and UPMC Passavant-McCandless hospitals, UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, UPMC Orthopaedic Care, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Rehabilitation Institute and close-to-home UPMC Primary Care, UPMC Magee-Womens and UPMC Children's services. Last year, UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care locations opened in Butler Township and Mars, further expanding access to care. Services at these locations continue to grow, meeting the growing demand and changing health needs of community residents. For example, gastroenterology services were recently co-located within UPMC-GoHealth in Mars.
Physicians and care teams at the new Butler location will be primarily affiliated with UPMC Passavant. U.S. News & World Report recently ranked UPMC Passavant as the No. 2 hospital in the eight-county Pittsburgh region, inclusive of Butler County, second only to No. 1 ranked UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside. This reflects the high caliber of specialty care and expertise people in Butler will be able to access closer to home through the new location.
