UPMC Primary Care Opens New Office for All Ages

CUMBERLAND, Md. - UPMC Western Maryland today cut the ribbon on UPMC Primary Care, Cumberland, Seton Drive, marking the opening of a new family medicine practice that brings additional primary care physicians to Cumberland and the tri-state region and expands access to care for patients at every age and stage of life.

The practice is led by family medicine physicians Nathaniel Bowen, D.O., and Grace Bauer Bowen, D.O., who are joined by advanced practice providers Cherokee A. Torbet, CRNP, and Samantha Wampler, CRNP. Western Maryland Cumberland Primary Care

Family medicine plays a central role in helping individuals and families build lasting relationships with providers who understand their health history, medical needs and health care goals over time. By caring for patients across the lifespan, the team will provide services including newborn visits, childhood wellness checks, routine office visits, preventive care, and care for acute and chronic conditions - close to home.

"The opening of this new primary care office is about making care more accessible, building trusted relationships between providers and families, and ensuring residents have the support they need to stay healthy at every age and stage of life," said Michele Martz, president, UPMC Western Maryland. "We are proud to welcome Drs. Bowen and Bowen to our community and to celebrate this investment in the health and well-being of the tri-state region."

For patients and families, the new practice means greater access to the everyday care that supports lifelong health. Parents can bring newborns and young children to a trusted provider close to home, adults can stay connected to routine screenings and preventive care, and patients managing chronic conditions can receive ongoing support before health concerns become more serious.

The office is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment or learn more, call 240-609-3430.
