Urgent Appeal: Wounding, Broadbeach

Police are appealing urgent public assistance in relation to a wounding that occurred in Broadbeach this morning.

Initial investigations indicate around 8.30am, emergency services were called to a shopping centre, corner of Hooker Boulevard and Gold Coast Highway following reports of a serious assault.

Upon arrival, a woman in her 20s was located with two non-life-threatening stab wounds.

She was transported to Robina Hospital.

A man left the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services but is still believed to be in the area.

Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with investigations. Members of the public are urged not to approach the man but contact police immediately.

Anyone who may have information is urged to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
