Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak to discuss the current situation along NATO's Eastern Flank. He underscored the United States' enduring commitment to the Alliance and to our strong defense relationship with Poland. The Secretary shared Minister Błaszczak's concern about the Belarus regime's hybrid tactics along Poland's border, and the two leaders exchanged views on Russia's military activities around Ukraine. They also discussed ways to enhance deterrence along NATO's Eastern Flank.
