USAID Deputy Administrator Joins UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

Today, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman delivered the U.S. national statement at the 2023 United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York. During the Ministerial Segment of the Forum, the Deputy Administrator reiterated the U.S. government's commitment to the implementation of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. She expressed continued resolve to deliver on a comprehensive approach to support our developing country partners in the midst of today's complex challenges that have reversed, stalled, and continue to threaten development progress.

On the sidelines of the Forum, the Deputy Administrator also met with Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)'s Parliamentary State Secretary, Dr. Bärbel Kofler, as well as United Nations Development Program Administrator Achim Steiner, to discuss collaboration on shared priorities such as improving food security, coordinating humanitarian assistance, expanding access to energy, and promoting women's empowerment and digital solutions to development challenges.
