UW's EORI Finds Potential for Improved Oil Recovery in Two Fields

The University of Wyoming's Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI) has found the potential for improved oil recovery in the Rozet and Windmill fields in northeast Wyoming.

Reservoir mapping of the Muddy Formation at the Rozet field and subsequent modeling of a waterflood using StreamSim software indicate that additional recoverable reserves can be realized through improved waterflood design.

Additionally, a study of the Muddy reservoir at nearby Windmill Field, which is still in primary production, serves as a good comparison to what might be accomplished there with the introduction of a secondary recovery program.
