The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) is partnering with the Soil Wealth Project, Hort Innovation, the NT Farmers Association, VegNET and Elders to deliver a workshop on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for Territory vegetable growers.
Speakers will include the DAF's Principal Entomologist Dr Brian Thistleton, Elders Senior Agronomist Callum Hutcheson, and NT Farmers VegNET Regional Development Officer Mariah Maughan.
This hands-on workshop will provide practical skills to help local growers make smarter spraying decisions, improve crop and soil health, and get the most value from pest management.
Attendees will also learn how to monitor and identify common NT pests and beneficial insects in their crops.
NT Farmers will provide fact sheets in both English and Vietnamese, with a Vietnamese interpreter available to assist growers during the workshop.
The 'Get More from Every Spray & IPM NT Workshop' will be held next Thursday, 25 September 2025, from 11am to 2.30pm at the NT Farmers Association, Shop 15A, Coolalinga Shopping Centre, Coolalinga NT.
