A 53-year-old man has sustained life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Sunnybank Hills this morning.
Investigations indicate at around 7.05am, a green sedan, travelling south on Pinelands Road, left the roadway onto the footpath and struck the 53-year-old man.
As a result of the collision the man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
The 20-year-old male driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
